YouRhere inc. is a leading provider of digital signage and interactive directories across Canada. Since 2016, I’ve been working as a UX Designer for youRhere where I am creating helpful and informative interactive content to be displayed on large touch screens. The projects I’ve worked on range from office building directories, mall interactive maps, as well as content for hospitals, museums, and universities.

User Experience Design Process
Information Architecture
Each directory has its own unique set of requirements of information to display and I will determine how the content will be structured.
User Flows and Wireframes
I create flow charts on how a user might navigate through the content and then I will rough out some wireframes to get an idea of the visual layout.
Clean Design
Mockup designs are created which then turn into working prototypes for testing and client approval.
Web Development
These designs are then taken into development and I translate all the mockups into live working versions using a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Case Study: Manulife Place
Manulife Place is a mall and office building located in downtown Edmonton, AB. I was tasked with creating the user experience that would be displayed on the 9 interactive screens that would be installed at the location. These screens would help users find the store or service that they’re looking for and also provide information about local events, building amenities, promotions, transit schedules and other property details.
Wireframing
Given a list of the directory pages that were required, I organized the content into sections that made sense created a wireframe flow on how a user would navigate through the touch screen.
High Fidelity Mockup and Prototype
Once the user flow was mapped out, I created higher fidelity mockups and working prototypes for testing and client approval. I used Adobe XD to create the mockup and prototypes.
Development and QA Testing
After the mockups were approved, I then began working on development to create a working version using HTML, CSS, JavaScript that would be deployed on the installed directories.
